Power Campus 2026 in Chemnitz
The enviaM Group is organising the Power Campus again in summer 2026 in Chemnitz. The one-week event is aimed at Bachelor's and Master's students in engineering and provides insights into topics related to the energy transition.
Please note:
The event will be conducted exclusively in German. Participants must have at least B2/C1 level German language proficiency.
Contents:
- Workshops and case studies on topics such as smart grids, energy policy, redispatch and renewable energies
- Exchange with experts from various fields
- Work on practical, real-world cases
- Study credits (Studium Generale) possible, depending on your university

Soldering Courses for EEIT Students
The workshop of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology offers practice-oriented soldering courses for students and staff. The aim is to develop basic and advanced skills in handling electronic components.
Course modules:
- Basics of soldering
- Soldering on printed circuit boards (THT)
- SMD soldering
- PCB repair (desoldering and component replacement)
- Reflow soldering
Organisation:
- Small groups of up to 4 participants
- Individual scheduling depending on demand and availability
- Registration possible at any time
Basic knowledge is recommended for advanced modules. It is therefore advisable to start with the introductory course.
Duration: approx. 2 hours per module
The soldering courses are offered on an ongoing basis throughout the semester. Dates are arranged individually depending on demand and availability.

RISE Worldwide Research Internships in Canada – Summer 2027
RISE Worldwide offers Bachelor, Diplom and State Examination students at German universities the opportunity to join a research project in Canada for 10–12 weeks during summer 2027. Participants become part of an international research team and gain valuable practical research experience.
The programme is open to students in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, computer science, medicine, psychology and related disciplines. Master's students are not eligible to apply.
Applications are open from 5 August to 16 September 2026. The scholarship includes a DAAD full scholarship, a travel allowance and DAAD insurance.

Summer School “Future Technologies in Diagnostics” 2026
Chemnitz University of Technology, together with partners from academia and applied research, is organising the Summer School “Future Technologies in Diagnostics”. The programme is aimed at students from various disciplines who are interested in interdisciplinary work and gaining insights into modern point-of-care technologies.
The Summer School is held in German.
The programme includes:
- Workshops on topics such as laser processing, 3D printing, DNA sequencing and fluorescence microscopy
- Insights into current research and practical projects
- Hands-on sessions to develop solutions and prototypes
- Exchange with industry partners and excursions
- Opportunities for academic and personal networking
Participation is free of charge and open to students from fields such as medical engineering, medicine, health management, health economics, biochemistry, biotechnology, physical engineering, biophotonics, electrical engineering, sensor technology, mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, mechatronics or related disciplines, regardless of study level.

all about automation Chemnitz 2026
The all about automation trade fair will bring together companies and professionals from the industrial automation sector at Messe Chemnitz on 23 and 24 September 2026. Topics include automation systems, robotics, engineering, software, industrial communication, smart production and digitalisation in the context of Industry 4.0.

Study on Personality Research
Dear Students of Electrical and Information Engineering,
My name is Katharina Koch, and I am studying Psychology at TU Chemnitz. For my master's thesis, I am looking for participants for a study that investigates the interplay of personality traits, intelligence, and academic performance. The goal is to find out to what extent personality can compensate for a lower IQ.
The study consists of an intelligence test (40 minutes) and an online survey (15 minutes). The sessions will take place from January 8 to 22, 2025, at Wilhelm-Rabe Straße 43, Room 4/037. You can participate if you are between 18 and 30 years old, speak German well, and are a student.
There are vouchers to be won (1x €50, 2x €20, 1x €10) for every 100 participants. Just sign up with your email address (it will remain anonymous) and invite your friends: Participation Link.

Exchange Program with Stellenbosch University
