Student Council of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology
We are the Faculty Student Council of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (FSR ET/IT) and our mission is to support your studies and make your time at university as enriching as possible.
Our main goal is to create a strong connection between students and the faculty. We are your voice and represent your interests. That's why we are committed to making sure your concerns are heard — whether related to your studies, course content, or everyday university life.
As a student council, we focus on:
- Advising and supporting students with study-related questions.
- Organising events to foster student interaction.
- Excursions and workshops for career orientation.
- Representing student interests within the faculty and university-wide.
- Providing timely information and updates on important topics.

"Power Campus 2026 – experience energy, shape the future"
Together with TU Chemnitz, the enviaM Group invites you to the 2nd Power Campus in Chemnitz. For one week, everything revolves around the future of energy, hands-on insights, and innovative solutions for the energy transition.
Please note:
The event is conducted exclusively in German. Participants must have at least B2/C1 level German language proficiency.
What to expect:
- A week full of energy in Chemnitz with a varied programme combining knowledge, practice and exchange
- Workshops & deep dives on smart grids, energy policy, redispatch, renewable energies and further future-oriented topics
- Work on real-world cases and direct exchange with decision-makers
- Networking with experts from different fields – from grid planning to innovation
- Study credits (Studium Generale) possible at TU Chemnitz (depending on your university and approval by the examination office)
- A welcoming atmosphere with catering and plenty of opportunities to connect with others

To help you get started with your studies, we offer an Orientation Week for first-year students at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. Here you will get everything you need for a relaxed start at Chemnitz University of Technology: information, orientation and your first contacts with fellow students who will accompany you through your studies.
What you can expect:
- Get to know your fellow students in a relaxed atmosphere
- Introduction to the campus and important contact points
- Support and helpful tips for starting your studies
