Marketing, Event Management and Merchandising
The Marketing, Event Management and Merchandising Department coordinates and organises the marketing activities, major events and merchandising of Chemnitz University of Technology in close consultation with the university management. Together with the Press Office and Crossmedia Communications team, it oversees the development and implementation of internal and external communication strategies and processes, supports the university-wide coordination of cross-functional tasks, and plays an active role in student recruitment and public relations.
As the central interface between the university management, internal departments and the public, the department organises university-wide events at regional, national and international levels. In addition, it is responsible for merchandising within the Unishop, thereby acting as the university’s service and communications provider.
This integrated structure ensures that marketing, event organisation and merchandising are closely interlinked, thereby guaranteeing a consistent and professional image for Chemnitz University of Technology both internally and externally.
