Nutrition workshop at the IWW – Chemnitz University of Technology’s Centre for Sport and Health Promotion trials a new break format
On 23 August 2019, a nutrition workshop took place at the IWW. During the workshop, interested staff members learnt from Ms Sabine Türpe, a qualified ecotrophologist from projecDo GmbH, about healthy eating at work and at home.

In June, around 350 students from Chemnitz University of Technology received their graduation certificates in person at St Peter’s Church in Chemnitz. Dr habil. Wolfgang Hansal, who completed his habilitation at the WOT Chair in December 2018, delivered an emotional graduation speech.

WOT presents a forecasting tool for plasma nitriding processes at the DGO regional group meeting
At the regional group meeting of the DGO (German Society for Electroplating and Surface Technology) on 9 May 2019 at the Institute of Materials Science and Materials Engineering, two presentation topics were on the agenda for the first time. One of these was the presentation of the AiF project funded by the DGO, ‘Prediction tool for plasma nitriding processes for the surface treatment of tools and components’, which the WOT Chair is carrying out in collaboration with the Fraunhofer IST in Braunschweig.
At the regional group meeting of the DGO (German Society for Electroplating and Surface Technology) on 9 May 2019 at the Institute of Materials Science and Materials Engineering, two presentation topics were on the agenda for the first time.
