Methods Competency Center

Methods Competency Center

Since 2015, the Center for Methodological Competence (MKZ) at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences has been supporting researchers in addressing methodological challenges in empirical social research through a wide range of workshops, consultations, and lectures. As an interdisciplinary platform, it brings together expertise from the fields of movement sciences, psychology, and sociology, and promotes the exchange and further development of methodological skills across disciplinary boundaries. In the context of research on human-technology interaction, various methods such as quantitative statistical or AI-supported procedures are applied.

The collaboration between the Center for Methodological Competence and the Research Center for Human-Technology Interaction links methodological solution strategies with application-oriented research. While the MKZ provides its expertise in the development and dissemination of methodological approaches, the MeTech Research Center contributes its subject-specific application areas and technological questions.
