Erasmus+ funding

 

General

The EU Erasmus+ programme (further information here: Erasmus+) offers a wide range of options for study, placement and teaching exchanges in other European countries. To date, 3 million students have undertaken a study visit abroad with the Erasmus programme.

 

Erasmus Code

Programme Aims

The programme aims to give students the opportunity to spend time in the member states of the European Union and several associated programme countries to benefit from the study opportunities in those countries and expand their linguistic and cultural knowledge and experience.

The programme’s mobility projects also promote the European ideal by creating stronger networks between European educational institutions and an increasingly international educational experience.

It is also possible to get financial support from Erasmus+ funds in the form of an Erasmus+ grant, allocated by the home institution, towards travel expenses and living costs.

 

Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE)

The award by the EU Commission of an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) confirms that an institution meets all the requirements for participation in the Erasmus+ programme. TU Chemnitz successfully applied for the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) for the new generation of Erasmus+ programmes (2021–2027).
