IWW spin-off receives Leipzig Electroplating Prize

At the end of February, a spin-off from the IWW, inca-fiber GmbH, received the Leipzig Electroplating Prize from the German Society for Electroplating and Surface Technology (DGO). The award honoured the successful transfer of research work carried out at the university to industry.

„Without the foundations laid at the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering at the TU, which were intensified within a team in the junior research group and have now been further implemented as a company with the strong support of Professor Lampke and the university environment, inca-fiber would not have been able to flourish so well“, says the Managing Director of inca-fiber GmbH, Dr Falko Böttger-Hiller, looking back with gratitude.
