Liebe Interessierte,
die Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses ist der Technischen Universität Chemnitz ein besonderes Anliegen – und zugleich eine wichtige Verantwortung. Unser Ziel ist es, bestmögliche Rahmenbedingungen für die Qualifizierungsphase und darüber hinaus zu schaffen. Als zentrale Beratungs- und Weiterbildungseinrichtung unterstützt das Zentrum für den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs (ZfwN) diese Aufgabe.
Mit dem „TUCgraduate Day“ (vormals: Tag des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses) schaffen wir einen Raum für Information, Austausch und Vernetzung. Hier treffen Promotionsinteressierte, Promovierende und Promovierte ebenso wie Betreuende und weitere Interessierte zusammen, um sich über Promotion, Karrierewege und Nachwuchsförderung auszutauschen.
Wir laden Sie herzlich ein, auch in diesem Jahr am 10. November 2026 dabei zu sein! Die Veranstaltung steht diesmal unter dem Schwerpunktthema „International Doctoral Research and Academic Careers: Research Stays Abroad, Networks, and Career Pathways“ – Sie dürfen sich auf vielfältige und spannende Sessions freuen.
Die Veranstaltung wird in deutscher und englischer Sprache durchgeführt. Die einzelnen Sessions finden jeweils in der Sprache des jeweiligen Vortragstitels statt.

Dear colleagues and guests,
At Chemnitz University of Technology, supporting early-career scientists is both a priority and a responsibility. Our goal is to create the best possible conditions for the qualification phase and beyond. The Centre for Junior Scientists (ZfwN) serves as a central hub for advice, training, and support along the way.
The „TUCgraduate Day“ (formerly: Tag des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses) brings together prospective doctoral candidates, doctoral researchers, postdocs, supervisors, and anyone interested in research career. It provides space for inspiration, exchange, and networking around topics such as doctoral studies, career planning, and researcher development.
We are delighted to invite you to join us again this year on 10 November 2026! The event will focus on „International Doctoral Research and Academic Careers: Research Stays Abroad, Networks, and Career Pathways“ – with a wide range of exciting sessions offering fresh perspectives and new ideas.
The event will be held in both German and English. Each session will be conducted in the language of its respective presentation title.
