Alexander von Humboldt Foundation scholarship holders as guests
From 8 to 10 February 2023, the TU Chemnitz hosted a network meeting of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation took place. The Institute of Materials Science and Engineering (IWW) also hosted around 20 scholarship holders from the field of engineering.
After a round of introductions, five participants presented their wide-ranging research topics, which ranged from the simulation of mudslides to corrosion. The participants were then given a brief introduction to the IWW by Prof Martin Wagner and visited selected laboratories at our institute, including mechanical testing, electroplating and the thin-film laboratory. The feedback from the scholarship holders was consistently positive and we look forward to further events of this kind.
