Aneca: "Chemnitz Addressed – Europe Expressed!"

Europe looks to Chemnitz as European Capital of Culture – but how does Chemnitz see Europe? The project "Chemnitz Addressed – Europe Expressed!" creates a multi-perspective on the experiences of former students, teachers, and education policymakers to showcase how the concept of Europe taught in schools has changed since the post-reunification era. In collaboration with local artists and the Chemnitz History Association, interviews with contemporary witnesses will be illustrated and presented on December 3rd at the University Library. The aim is to promote cooperation between academia and cultural creators in academia and to encourage a reappraisal on the (post-)reunification era.
