Various topics, based on the research focus of the chair, are considered from theoretical perspectives. Participants should be enabled to use theoretical approaches to analyze practical problems and to reflect critically on them.

The aim of the course is to impart methodological and social skills through theoretical reflection and practical training of moderation and presentation techniques as well as strategies of discussion and feedback.

Basic knowledge of dealing and working under different cultural conditions is acquired. Cultural differences and their consequences for intercultural communication and cooperation will be discussed.

Central concepts and theories of global strategy and international management are dealt with and discussed. Furthermore, different market entry strategies are analyzed and economic, political, and cultural context factors of international management are highlighted. The discussion focuses on the tension between global efficiency and the local adaptation of multinational companies.

The main topics of a social and behavioral science organization theory are discussed. The conveyed theoretical basics are used within the lecture for theory-based analyzes of practical cases.
