Between Campus Tour and Fuchsbau Revival

International Alumni Meeting brings together current and former students and staff of TU Chemnitz on 30 May 2015 – registration is possible until 15 May – there are three more events on the same day

On 30th May 2015 takes place the 7th Alumni Meeting, which is, for the first time, coupled with the Open Day and the Children’s University at Technische Universität Chemnitz. On the same day, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology celebrates its 50th anniversary with a gala in the afternoon and during the alumni dinner in the dining hall on campus.

Visitors can expect a reunion with a program consisting of tours, information events and entertainment. The event starts on the evening before with the “Alumni get-together“ in the Günnewig Hotel Chemnitzer Hof. On 30 May the former students and staff can step back into the past and get to know TU Chemnitz and the city of Chemnitz from a recent perspective. Lectures will be offered on such topics as “International experience yesterday and today“ and ”Physics in Chemnitz in the course of time“.

During various guided tours it is possible to walk around the campus at Reichenhainer Straße and in several laboratories, as well as through the university sites at Straße der Nationen and Erfenschlager Straße. Among other things, excursions lead to the castle of Lichtenwalde and the National Museum of Archaeology Chemnitz, which belongs to the city’s tourist highlights since May 2014. Later at night, the FX Club opens its doors at Carolastraße: The Fuchsbau revival gives its retrospective on the 25 years of a student club.

If you would like to participate in the 7th Alumni Meeting, all further details are on the website: Here you can register up to 15th May.
