Validation of Applied Hydrogen Technologies

The HZwo:ValidApplHy project focuses on the procurement of research equipment to advance the development of hydrogen technologies. This investment will enable Chemnitz University of Technology and the Saxony research area to establish their own research platforms and expand their activities and fields of action in the field of hydrogen technology.

Three project pillars comprise the procurement of equipment for the high-rate assembly of membrane electrode assemblies for fuel cells and electrolysers, a PEM fuel cell system test bench for outputs up to 400 kWel for heavy-duty systems, and equipment for hydrogen production, storage and distribution/refuelling.

This investment is an important step in the further development of hydrogen technologies and will enable new insights and innovations to be developed in this field. The procurement of this equipment will enable Chemnitz University of Technology to strengthen its position in the field of hydrogen technology and become one of the leading research institutions.
