The symposium will be held at Chemnitz University of Technology. Located in the northern foothills of the Ore Mountains, Chemnitz with its population close to 250,000 people is the third largest city of the Free State of Saxony and offers all aspects of modern life in a medium sized city. In 2025, Chemnitz held the title European Capital of Culture (tohether with Nova Gorica in Slovenia). Chemnitz can be reached by train from various directions. The closest airports are located in Leipzig (LEJ, distance approx. 110 km) and Dresden (DRS, distance approx. 80 km). Both airports connect also to major interational hubs.

Institute of Physics

From Monday, 21st until Tuesday 23rd of September 2026, the symposium (oral sessions, poster session and welcome event) will take place at the Institute of Physics (building C60), which is located on the Campus C - Reichenhainer Straße . On Thursday, 24th of September 2026, oral sessions will be held in the eniProd building (building C16), which is only three minutes away from the Institute of Physics.
