Semester Abroad and Internship at Bhasha Research and Publication Center in Vadodara, and at the Tribal Academy in Tejgadh, Gujarat, India

Since 2013, the Chair of English Literature at Chemnitz University of Technology has held a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bhasha Research and Publication Center in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. Bhasha has been promoting tribal languages, literature, history, culture, arts and crafts in India since its foundation in 1996. For instance, the Center publishes the magazine Dhol in 11 tribal languages that are among those not recognised in the Indian constitution.
In 1999, Bhasha opened a tribal academy in Tejgadh, a tribal village 90 kilometres from Vadodara, to both preserve and promote tribal imagination on an academic level. Currently, the curriculum of their post-graduate diploma includes tribal folklore, languages, history, economy, law and human rights, culture, arts and crafts.
