Elected member of the Board of Delegates of the European Thermal Spraying Association

On 6 December 2017, Dr Thomas Grund was elected to the Board of Delegates of the European Thermal Spraying Association ETSA. The members of the ETSA represent major public and private research institutions and companies in the scientific and technological field of thermal spraying in Europe. The members come, for example, from Germany, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and the Czech Republic. Thermal spraying processes can be used to quickly and flexibly combine layers of all main material groups with equally variable base bodies, allowing, for example, ceramic thermal barrier coatings to be produced on metallic turbine components or plastics to be metallised directly. The ETSA organises workshops and conferences on fundamental and new thermal spraying topics in order to promote and consolidate cooperation between members. The next workshop supported by the ETSA will take place on 10 and 11 April 2018 in Pilsen/CZ.
