7th ITSHC | Wrocław | 11 –12 September 2025
The 7th International Conference on Thermal Spraying and Hardfacing (ITSHC) took place in Wrocław on 11 and 12 September 2025. The focus was on the latest research results and developments in thermal spraying, build-up welding and additive manufacturing.
The presentations and posters covered topics such as new base materials, the properties of coatings and weld deposits, innovative coating processes, modern characterisation methods and industrial applications under different operating conditions. Topics such as training, quality assurance and certification in these technologies were also discussed.
The WOT professorship was once again represented with two scientific contributions and presented research results on the potential of environmentally friendly NbC-Fe-based coatings for wear and corrosion protection as well as on the hardening behaviour of cast, sintered and sprayed manganese steels. Dr Thomas Lindner and Lukas Tegelkamp, MSc, were able to present WOT's expertise in the fields of sustainable coating solutions and material behaviour to an international audience of experts.
