Interview on the topic „No fear of the human factor“ published in Swiss industry magazine „Technik und Wissen“
In the current issue of the trade magazine „Technology and knowledge“ on the subject of „modern interfaces“, future trends in human-centred production will be addressed. In a Interview with Dr habil. Franziska Bocklisch questions will be asked about a more value-adding interaction between man and machine and current approaches from research will be reported on.
This also includes „cognitive teaming“ – a new form of interaction between humans and AI-based technology – which is being researched at the WOT professorship together with the Fraunhofer IWU Chemnitz (Department „Humans in Production“) and industrial partners. The interview provides insights into what cognitive teaming is and how it differs from other forms of human-technology connection. The example of the hybrid decision-making for thermal coating illustrates initial findings on the qualitative added value that the narrower interpretation of technical decision-making issues (multi-criteria parameter optimisation) can have on human cognitive abilities by means of AI modelling. In addition to the comprehensible presentation of the technical subject area, the „how“ is also discussed: among other things, how to ideally combine the various transdisciplinary perspectives and approaches, which study programmes are important for this and how a transfer into industrial practice can be successfully designed.
