Transdisciplinary dialogue „humans, technology and AI“

The 2nd Transdisciplinary Dialogue „Humans, Technology and AI“ took place on 15.11.2021. Two short presentations by Dr Rudolf Seising (Deutsches Museum Munich) and Dr Uwe Haas (Roboconsult Munich) provided impetus for the subsequent discussion among the approximately 80 participants. The transdisciplinary dialogue is organised and hosted by the Chair of General Psychology I and Human Factors and the Chair of WOT.

Dealing with the societal challenges in the field of „intelligent industry“ requires broad transdisciplinary cooperation between different specialist disciplines, research institutions and industry partners. In the current transdisciplinary dialogue, Dr Rudolf Seising presented the (forgotten) history of AI. Dr Uwe Haas then showed the prospects of AI for education and research using the example of robotics. In a stimulating discussion, the speakers and guests then took up individual points and analysed them in more detail.

The event series „Transdisciplinary Dialogue: Humans, Technology and AI“ highlights the interaction between humans, technology and artificial intelligence (AI) from the various perspectives of the specialised sciences. In short presentations, invited speakers will address the humanities, social sciences, humanities and STEM-orientated perspectives and provide impetus for the subsequent discussion on specific topics.
