SmartCargoDrone — Autonomously Operating Multicopter Cargo Drone
Active
Drone ASE AI
Commercially used Drone have become established in areas such as surveying, mapping and inspection, but are predominantly deployed in a passive role of “detecting and imaging”, with cargo transport limited to light loads below 6.5 kg. Current UAV systems navigate primarily via GPS, IMU and compass, which are disrupted near high-voltage installations by electromagnetic fields. Flight control and mission control operate in existing architectures as separate layers without automatic interaction, model-based energy management is entirely absent, and the available trajectory planning algorithms are designed for two-dimensional...

DualCertify — Cross-Border Dual Micro-Certificates
Active
AI
The shortage of skilled workers in Germany, which according to the Institute of the German Economy could lead to an estimated economic loss of up to 49 billion euros, hits future-oriented sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, cloud applications and digitalisation particularly hard. Both Saxony and the Czech Republic face the same challenge: university education is predominantly foundational in nature and does not adequately prepare young professionals for the practical demands of a rapidly changing labour market. There is a lack of recognised, practice-oriented proof of technical skills in these key areas — proof that is valid in both countries ...

Microcredential — Drone Systems Engineering for Safety-Critical Applications
Active
Drone ASE
Drone systems are taking on increasingly complex inspection and security monitoring tasks in industry and public infrastructure. Beyond capable hardware and modular platform concepts, cybersecurity, secure communication architectures and robust data infrastructures are becoming central success factors. The ability to capture, transmit, store and analyse sensor data reliably, tamper-proof and in compliance with regulations is becoming a decisive competitive advantage. Existing courses do not yet address this interface competence spanning systems engineering, software development and cybersecurity in a compact....

Sonic-Gait — Auditory Gait Analysis Without Sensors
⊙Completed
AI
Clinical gait analysis is an important diagnostic tool in neurology and rehabilitation — for example in Parkinson’s disease, post-stroke care, or orthopaedic conditions. Existing systems typically rely on body sensors, pressure plates or elaborate laboratory camera systems, which hampers their use in everyday clinical practice. What is missing is a low-threshold, sensor-free method that presents gait information in a way that is immediately experienceable and comprehensible...
