Soldering Courses

The workshop of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (ETIT) offers practice-oriented soldering courses for its students and staff. The aim is to develop basic and advanced skills in working with electronic components and printed circuit boards.

Course modules:

  • Basics of soldering and soldering on printed circuit boards (THT)
  • SMD soldering and working with Surface Mounted Devices (SMD)
  • PCB repair (desoldering, component replacement and troubleshooting)
  • Reflow soldering (basics and application of the reflow process)

The courses are practice-oriented and focus on developing and improving these practical skills.

Organisation and registration:

  • Small groups of up to 4 participants
  • Registration possible at any time
  • Individual scheduling depending on demand and available capacity

Basic soldering skills are recommended for the advanced modules SMD soldering, PCB repair and reflow soldering. Participants are therefore advised to start with the introductory module before proceeding to the advanced modules.

Duration: approx. 2 hours per module

The soldering courses are offered on an ongoing basis across semesters. Dates are arranged individually depending on demand and available capacity.
