Application via the online application portal of the Chemnitz University of Technology
TU Chemnitz does not cooperate with commercial agencies in Germany and abroad that place applicants at TU Chemnitz. Information about the application process at our university can be found below.
In the following cases, the application for admission has to be submitted via the online application portal of the Chemnitz University of Technology:
- Applicants of German nationality with a German university degree
- Applicants of German nationality with foreign high school diploma or foreign university degree
- Foreign Applicants with completed entrance examination test (FSP) of a German Studienkolleg or Applicants with a German higher education entrance qualification (Abitur)
- Foreign Applicants with a European Baccalaureate (decision of Kultusministerkonferenz ("Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany") of 14.06.2018)
- Foreign Applicants with a German university degree
- Foreign Applicants who finished the preparatory German language course at TU Chemnitz with DSH 2 and former preparatory course admission letter from our university
- Foreign Applicants for an exchange programme or outside such a programme (exchange student / Erasmus)
- Applicants for study course change within the university
Application period for winter semester 2025/2026: May 26th to September 19th 2025
Extended period for enrolment: Oktober 31st 2025
Special information for students that are already enrolled at TU Chemnitz
Students of TU Chemnitz who are already enrolled in a degree program and would like to apply for a change of degree program or multiple enrollment or for a master's degree program can apply via the SBservice under the quick link "Studienbewerbung".
