TU Chemnitz Presents New Downtown Shopping Location
The Unishop has relocated to Straße der Nationen 62 – Through October 23rd, customers can enjoy an 18.0% discount

Anyone looking for clothing and accessories with the branding of the Technische Universität Chemnitz is in the right place at the Unishop. The selection includes sweatshirts, t-shirts and jackets in various colors as well as lanyard keychains, belts and sports socks. Even a “TU Chemnitz Survival-Kit” and a set of thermal glasses packaged in a gift box are available. The Unishop received a central location downtown at the beginning of the 2015/2016 winter semester: on October 14th, the opening of the business took place in the TU building on Straße der Nationen 62, Room 108B. In the future, the shop will be open Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. as well as 12:15 p.m. until 1:45 p.m.
In the opening week continuing through the 23rd of October, all customers receive an 18.0 percent discount on their entire purchase, provided it does not include items that are already reduced. With this promotion, the Unishop begins the warm-up to the 180th Anniversary Celebration of the TU Chemnitz, which the University will commemorate with a festival week from April 28th through May 3rd, 2016. But there is yet another reason to pay the new shop a visit soon: The first 180 customers will receive a free t-shirt with their purchase.
“The relocation was necessary because the premises we had been using until now in the canteen on the TU-Campus were made unavailable by a renovation. But of course in the future we will also regularly be in the canteen with a large selection of our products,” says Susann Müller, who coordinates the Unishop in the University Communications Department. For 2015, there are three dates planned on which the shop will be a guest in the Foyer of the canteen at Reichenhainer Straße 55: on November 5th as well as the 10th and 17th of December from 10:45 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., the Unishop team will be available for consultation and sales on campus. In addition, the Unishop will be present at the TU Christmas Market on December 3rd, 2015 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the plaza in front of the Weinhold-Bau.
Furthermore, three university partners offer a selection of TU Chemnitz products: The GALERIA Kaufhof Chemnitz (Am Rathaus 1), the Buchhandlung Universitas (Reichenhainer Straße 55) and Camcool (Schulstraße 38).
