HydroRace – Hydrogen-Powered Racing Challenge
HydroRace is an interactive educational and outreach concept that combines hydrogen technologies, fuel cells, sustainable mobility, and motorsport-inspired competition. Participants assemble, configure, and operate hydrogen-powered model vehicles while gaining hands-on experience with modern energy technologies.
Today, the HydroRace racing infrastructure remains available for exhibitions, trade fairs, university open days, STEM events, technology showcases, and public outreach activities. The system offers visitors an engaging and interactive way to experience hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in action.
The racing track system is fully modular and can be adapted to a wide range of event requirements. Track layouts can be configured for areas ranging from 15 m² up to 240 m², including the required carpet surface and track infrastructure. Various track designs and configurations are possible, from compact demonstration setups to large-scale racing arenas.
Demonstration vehicles can be provided and integrated into the exhibition concept. The system is particularly suitable for exhibition booths of Chemnitz University of Technology (TU Chemnitz), project presentations, recruiting events, and public engagement activities.
