Design and Layout of fuel cell and electrolyzer systems
Lecturer
Informationen
The course is held in in winter term.
- lectures: 2 LVS
- exercises: 2 LVS
Content
The module first explains the process technology fundamentals of fuel cell and electrolyzer systems and demonstrates the required components. This is followed by more detailed considerations using different dimensioning approaches for integrating and combining individual components into functional subsystems (anode, cathode and thermal subsystems). In addition, various hydrogen tank systems are discussed in conjunction with their requirements profile and potential manufacturing technologies. Finally, the required electronic components are presented and possible operating strategies for the overall systems are developed.
The knowledge is rounded out with an insight into various diagnostic procedures for individual components up to the system level. Practical relevance is ensured through the use of various reference systems in individual courses.
