Content

Using fuel cells as sample, which are based on a complex system of thermodynamic states and electrochemical reactions, its individual components are described mathematically and modeled in MATLAB. The fundamentals of numerical simulation for complex systems in the areas of thermodynamics, electrochemistry and mass transport as well as approaches for dimensioning channel structures are developed and applied to fuel cells.

The objective of this module is to combine the individual components into a comprehensive and complex system and to highlight their interactions.
