The Jan Amos Comenius University in Prague is a relatively young institution, having been established in 2001, originating from an association founded ten years earlier. Due to its manageable size, the university provides its students with a family-like and friendly atmosphere.
The university is named after the educator Johann Amos Comenius, whose educational principle "Omnes Omnia Omnio" (Latin for "All everything all-encompassing") serves as the foundation of the institution. The university embraces this principle in many ways:
