The Interdisciplinary Symposium for Women in STEM (ISINA) (https://www.tu-chemnitz.de/gleichstellung/projekte/isina/) took place on 13 and 14 March 2024 at Chemnitz University of Technology. The event was initiated by Prof. Dr. Olfa Kanoun, Chair of Measurement and Sensor Technology, and Karla Kebsch, Equal Opportunities Officer at the TUC. The aim of the symposium, which is being held for the ninth time, is to facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue and networking. Research assistants Natalia Nier and Dr. Christiane Wächtler from the Chair of Composites and Material Composites took part in the event.

In addition to a wide range of expert presentations on current research topics, e.g. from the fields of materials engineering, solid-state chemistry, artificial intelligence and data processing, there was also the opportunity to visit laboratories, including the Fraunhofer IWU. In addition, the participating female scientists were able to further develop their soft skills in various workshops such as "The Voice as an Instrument for Scientists". Insights into the research and fields of activity of the sponsors VECTOR Informatik GmbH and EnviaM rounded off the programme.
