Contents: The course teaches knowledge about the function of cognitive processes from the areas of memory, cognition, thinking and decision-making, and language and their implementation in cognitive architectures such as ACT-R or other modeling paradigms. Methods for replication of experimental data and the quality of cognitive modeling approaches are discussed
Qualification goals: Students will have a critical understanding of basic cognitive theories and how they can be implemented. They can analyze cognitive tasks, model them using statistical, informatics, and psychological methods and to question and further develop existing concepts
Requirements: A basic knowledge in statistics is recommended
Target groups: Master Human Factors, Master Sensors and Cognitive Psychology
