Admission requirements for the Bachelor’s Degree in Prevention, Rehabilitation and Fitness Sports
- A general or relevant subject-specific university entrance qualification (e.g., High School diploma, A-Levels, etc.), a master craftsman's examination, or a university entrance qualification recognized as equivalent by law
- German rescue swimming certification in bronze and a valid course in “emergency first aid” (it is also possible to obtain these certificates during the course of your studies, preferably by the second semester).
- Proof of a successfully completed sports aptitude test (the Examination Board is responsible for determining aptitude)

Then take the sports aptitude test with us
The sports aptitude test will take place on June 07, 2024.
Registration deadline is May 31, 2024!
You will receive a certificate from the TU Chemnitz showing whether you passed or failed the sports aptitude test no later than 4 weeks after the test.
Please note: This certificate does not list detailed results or points. We cannot issue different certificates for other universities due to lack of capacity.
You have already successfully completed a sports aptitude test at another college/university?
The TU Chemnitz recognizes sports aptitude tests from other colleges/universities through its Examination Board if they are submitted in certified form at the time of registration. In this case, please contact Dr. Wolf Gawin in advance:
What happens after the sports aptitude test?
While you are waiting for the certificate from the sports aptitude test, you can submit your application for admission through the application portal. The certificate of successful completion of the sports aptitude test should be submitted in addition to the usual documents only after receiving confirmation of admission.

Admission requirements for the Master’s Degree in Human Movement Sciences in Prevention and Rehabilitation
- B.Sc. Prevention, Rehabilitation and Fitness Sports from the TU Chemnitz or equivalent degree in terms of content (if necessary, the Examination Board will decide on the equivalence and access of other applicants)
Admission requirements for the Master’s Degree in Human Movement Science
- Completed Bachelor's degree in the field of sports science or engineering with specialization in the interface between humans and technology (e.g. BA Sports Engineering or BA Medical Engineering).
