Familie in der Hochschule e.V.
On 12 June 2018, Chemnitz University of Technology signed the charter "Family in Higher Education" and joined the "Familie in der Hochschule e.V.". The aim of the association is to promote family orientation at universities and research institutions by developing appropriate measures.
The TU Chemnitz has anchored equal opportunities and the promotion of family friendliness in its mission statement and sees this as an essential success factor for a future modern university. The constant improvement and expansion of the family-friendly infrastructure makes it easier for employees and students with family and care responsibilities.
The TU Chemnitz pursues the following goals in the spirit of the charter "Family in Higher Education":
- Further improvement of the family-friendly infrastructure:
- Expansion of the service and care offer for students and employees with family responsibilities, especially with care responsibilities
- Expansion of preventive health management
- Improving childcare services
- Promotion of career opportunities to reconcile work, study, care and family life
