Career Event for Female Students
For the fifth time the National Pact for Women in MINT-Careers “Komm mach MINT.” will offer the successful career kick off meet.ME. The two daylong event will be held in Leipzig with free workshops and lectures that will enable its participants an ideal preparation to enter professional life.
The Next Meeting of the Equality Commission
The next meeting will take place on the 16.05.2019 at the Rühlmann-Bau, Reichenhainer Straße 70, in room A022.
The Interdisciplinary Symposium for Women in MINT-Fields (ISINA)
Successfully Comes to an End
The symposium ISINA was held on the 25 and 26 of March 2019 and was once again a success. Many lectures and workshops, as well as conversations with companies contributed to creating a meeting point for dedicated women from science, research and economy. Female students, female junior professors and women residing in top executive positions utilised the opportunity to have engaging conversations. As part of the event, the Best-Poster-Award took place and its prizes this year went to Monique Meuschke from the University of Magdeburg (1 Place), to Elzbieta Stepula from the University of Duisburg-Essen (2. Place) and to Charlotte Steiniger form the TU Berlin (3. Place).
Equality Commissioner of the TU Chemnitz Elected
On the 11 of March 2019, the elections for the Equality Commissioner and her deputy of the TU Chemnitz took place. They will serve their term of office from the 1 of April 2019 till the 31 of March 2022.
Eleonore-Dießner- and Marie-Pleißner-Award 2019
This year’s award ceremony for the Eleonore-Dießner-Award and the Marie-Pleißner-Award will take place on the 1 of July 2019. Proposals in accordance with the awarding regulations can be submitted to the Equality Commissioner of the TU Chemnitz till the 31 of March 2019.
Rector signs the Charter for “Families at Universities”
The TU Chemnitz has been a member of the “Families at University e. V.” since June 2018.
New Family Domain of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ)
The service and information domain has been online since the beginning of June www.familienportal.de [de]
and informs families about family services offered by the state as well as on application procedures and legal regulations.
