17th International Workshop on

Impedance Spectroscopy

September 24 - September 27, 2024

Chemnitz - Germany

IWIS 2024's Main Page

Impedance Spectroscopy is an important measurement method for various fields of science and technology, including electrochemistry, material science, biology and medicine, the semiconductor industry, and sensors. Since 2008, the International Workshop on Impedance Spectroscopy (IWIS) has been a platform for experts to share their research findings and exchange knowledge with attendees from around the globe.

The IWIS goes in 2024 as an in-presence event with an open possibility for hybrid participation with the following contents:

  • Advanced School on Impedance Spectroscopy (ASIS)
  • Exchange with top scientists all around the world and star speakers
  • Workshops and active discussion on cutting-edge topics
  • An advisory session for special issues in international journals
  • A hackathon for innovative ideas around measurement and instrumentation

The Chair of Measurement and Sensor Technology at Technische Universität Chemnitz is organizing the workshop in cooperation with the German Chapter of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society and the IEEE Technical Committee TC2-Impedance Spectroscopy.

New! (Updated 02.08.2024)

Late paper submission is open until 15.08.2024.

In addition to full paper submissions (which can be presented as an oral presentation or as a poster), we are pleased to offer an opportunity for researchers to present their latest findings through (max) 2-page abstracts. This option is particularly suitable for showcasing recently accepted journal articles or ongoing research with promising results. While these abstracts will not be published in IEEEXplore (subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements), they will provide a valuable chance to engage with the IWIS audience and foster meaningful discussions.
