Test of Digital and Mixed-Signal Circuits / Design for Testability for Circuits and Systems

Faulty systems are annoying for all users. Modern test methods assist the design engineer to find as much faults as possible before shipping the product to the customer. So expansive recalls of products are avoided and the reputation of the manufacturer is saved.

In this course the terms "test" and "testability" are the keywords. Already during design process first steps must be made to have a testable product at the end. This includes methods directly in the object as well as in the external test equipment and the algorithms running on it. External referents extend the basics by reporting their personal experience in industry.

The course consists of lecture and exercise tied together to a common block allowing the external referents to have a suitable timeframe.

Course language is English.

This course (5 CP) contains lectures, exercises and seminars.

In winter 2023/24 this course is offered as regular (weekly) online course from 12.10.23 onwards. Further seminars (in October online, afterwards in presence) extend lecture and exercise. Subscription is open in OPAL. If you have not received your TU Chemnitz login data by 09.10.23 please contact Dr. Erik Markert for the online access.
