Call for Special Sessions
The 19th International Workshop on Impedance Spectroscopy (IWIS 2026) welcomes proposals for special sessions that focus on emerging topics, novel applications, or specific research areas within the field of Impedance Spectroscopy.
Special Session Objectives
Special sessions provide an excellent opportunity to:
- Bring together researchers working on specific topics or applications
- Showcase cutting-edge research and innovations in focused areas
- Foster collaboration and discussion among specialists
- Highlight interdisciplinary approaches and emerging trends
Proposal Requirements
Special session proposals should include:
- Title: A clear and descriptive title for the special session
- Organizers: Names, affiliations, and contact information of the session organizers (1-3 organizers recommended)
- Scope and Motivation: A brief description (300-500 words) of the session's scope, objectives, and its relevance to the IWIS community
- Topics: A list of specific topics to be covered in the session
- Expected Contributions: An indication of potential contributors or expected number of papers

| Special Session proposal deadline | March 15th, 2026 |
| Notification of acceptance & Submission Open | April 1st, 2026 |
| Notification to Authors (Accept/reject/revise) | June 15th, 2026 |
| Camera-ready submission (after revision) | July 1st, 2026 |
Submission Guidelines
Papers submitted to special sessions follow the same guidelines as regular IWIS papers:
- Full Papers: IEEE 2-Column Conference format, maximum 6 pages
- Extended Abstracts: Maximum 2 pages for presenting latest results (not published in IEEE Xplore)
All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore, subject to meeting IEEE Xplore's scope and quality requirements.
