A Bengali start into the New Year

The Bengali New Year celebration will take place on April 15, 2017, in the “Club der Kulturen” at the Chemnitz University

Easter in a different way: Anyone interested to engage in an intercultural experience has the opportunity to do so on April 15, in the “Club der Kulturen” of the Chemnitz University of Technology (Thüringer Weg 3). There the Bengali students of the university will celebrate the Bengali New Year celebration 1424.

Aside from the New Year festivities, there will be a colorful mix of Bengali music, traditional dishes, dancing and singing as well as entertaining program, a historical lecture and quiz.

Admission is free and no registration required.
