Research activity
Sarah J. Hirsch conducts research in the department Materials Development and Analysis. She is engaged in the production and characterisation of AMC materials and the analysis of machined surfaces. In this context, she investigates the correlation between the mechanical and tribological behaviour and the microstructure of the materials.
In addition to her activities for the Materials and Surface Engineering Group, she helps students with their entry into the study programme as a mentor.
