Employee description
Lisa-Marie Rymer is pursuing her doctorate in the field of the fatigue-crack propagation behavior in the medium-entropy alloy CrCoNi, focusing on the influence of microstructural elements introduced by severe plastic deformation (ECAP) and heat treatment on the fatigue threshold. Other research topics so far include the surface functionalization using thermal-sprayed and laser-cladded high-entropy alloys.
Her main research fields are:
- Fatigue and crack propagation of metallic materials
- Mechanical and microstructural characterization, in particular SEM analyses
- Heat treatment and severe plastic deformation
