Professor Thomas Lampke receives the DGO plaque

On 12 September 2019, the German Society for Electroplating and Surface Technology awarded Prof. Thomas Lampke the DGO plaque in recognition of special services.

Prof Lampke joined the DGO in 2007. Since then, he has been a member of the Research Technical Committee and the Joint Committee „Combined Surface Technology“. He was elected to the DGO Executive Board in 2012. He was deputy chairman until his retirement at the end of 2017 due to the articles of association. During this time, he was also one of the initiators of the BMBF InnoEMat research programme. As consortium leader, the DGO, together with Dechema and the DGM, is organising the accompanying scientific measure, which Professor Lampke played a key role in acquiring on behalf of the DGO. It is of great importance to him to involve young scientists at universities and universities of applied sciences in the DGO and to inspire them to work in the industry.

In its tribute, the DGO states: „Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Lampke has contributed to the increase and dissemination of knowledge in the field of surface technology through a wide range of activities in accordance with our statutes. The board and the members of the DGO thank him for his commitment and his services to the DGO.“ The award was presented by the chairman of the DGO board Rainer Venz and board member Dr Andreas Dietz.
