First steps towards cooperation with Changzhou University in China
On 22 August 2019, the WOT professorship welcomed Dr Wangping Wu from Changzhou University in China. Dr Wangping was accompanied by Prof Köster from Mittweida University of Applied Sciences.
Dr Wangping is a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Mechanical Engineering at Changzhou University. During a two-month research stay at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences, he was supervised by Prof. Dr Frank Köster, Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Head of the Chair of Process Engineering/Surface Technology. The visit to the WOT professorship was characterised by the first steps towards closer cooperation. Coordinated research activities in the field of chemical and electrochemical surface and coating technology and jointly produced publications are intended to initiate ongoing collaboration and a profitable exchange of experience with immediate effect. Further reciprocal visits are also planned for the future.
