Minimal invasive coating thickness determination; in principle applicable for all coating materials; especially suitable for PVD and CVD coated components
Test parameters:
- Speed: 10 - 2900 rpm -1
- Test time: 1 s to 15 min
- Intermediate: diamond suspension
Testing system:
- Sample: e.g. diameter 40 mm, 10 mm thick
- Counter body: ball diameter 10, 15, 20, 25.4 (1 inch), 30 mm; material: 100Cr6, VA steel, etc.
Evaluation:
- Light microscopic measuring
- Wear mark ( Touch probe , 3-D profilometer )
