Oral and Written Examinations

Under this menu item, you will find all the important information regarding examinations at the professorship. The respective examination regulations form the basis for the assessments.

The lectures in the Bachelor's degree program conclude with a written exam. In this exam, the contents of one or two lectures (supplemented by seminar content depending on the study regulations) are tested. All exams are offered in every examination period. The written exams each contain one section with closed-ended questions and one with open-ended questions.

This applies to the lectures:

  • Introduction to Emotion Psychology
  • Introduction to Motivation Psychology
  • Introduction to Biopsychology
  • Introduction to Evolutionary Psychology.

The examination requirements in the seminars are specified in the respective examination regulations. In addition to the individual performance to be graded in each case (e.g., presentation, term paper, exam questions within the scope of combined exams), active participation throughout the entire semester is expected from all seminar participants.

The lecture "Emotional and Motivational Regulation of Individual Behavior and Social Interactions" in the Master's degree program concludes with an oral exam for students majoring in Psychology. Students majoring in Psychology with a Focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, Sensorics and Cognitive Psychology, as well as Human Factors conclude the course with a written exam.

More detailed information on the individual exams can be found under Examination Information.
