Research Focus Areas
The main research areas of the department lie in both basic and applied research within the fields of emotion and motivation psychology. We place particular emphasis on their biopsychological correlates, such as heart rate variability, polysomnography, and real-time tracking of movement behavior in space. Another focus lies in developmental psychology, with applied relevance to education and teaching. Specific research topics include:
