Looking for an international experience? A term abroad could make it happen!
This site helps answer your questions about studying abroad…

At which universities can you spend a semester abroad?

The Institute of Human Movement Science and Health of the TU Chemnitz maintains cooperation with various universities through the Erasmus+ program, for example the University of Pilsen in the Czech Republic or the University of Gloucestershire in Southwest England. Currently, work is also underway on establishing an Erasmus cooperation with the University of Gothenburg (Sweden).

What is the usual duration for a term abroad?

You will stay in Pilsen for a 5-month period (Bachelor’s and Master’s students) and in Gloucestershire for a 9-month period (Bachelor’s students only), both starting in September.

Does a term abroad mean that I lose time for my studies? Does the TU Chemnitz recognize the courses abroad?

The advantages of studying abroad are obvious: You will improve your language and social skills, gain additional professional qualifications, and many more. Such contents are always advantageous in one's curriculum vitae and are becoming increasingly important. The courses taken abroad can be credited at the TU Chemnitz, so that you will not necessarily lose valuable time for your studies.

How much will a study abroad cost?

Within the Erasmus+ program the students do not pay any tuition fees at the cooperating university and they receive a financial allowance. It is also possible to get BAFÖG (a student loan) for the time abroad. There will be individual costs abroad for accommodations, food, insurance, leisure activities, and so on.
