According to its bridging function, which is dedicated to the new professorship Chemical Technology at the TU Chemnitz, the main research is established in the fields of material synthesis and characterization with focus on combinatorial processes and high throughput-technologies.

Moreover, the professorship's current projects on procedural optimizations of industrial manufacturing processes for chemical products in cooperation with regional and national companies will be continued as well as new projects for similar topics will be acquired.
