Teaching

The professorship Chemical Technology is responsible of the subject of technical chemistry education for bachelor and master programs in chemistry at the TU Chemnitz.

For the bachelor course Chemistry, in the 5th and 6th study semester the basics in process engineering and reaction technology for large-scale processes will be established within scope of lectures, tutorials and laboratory courses. All courses will be taught in German.

bachelor course

During the master course Chemistry the basic knowledge will be deepened in the fields of process engineering, heterogeneous catalysis with options for materials science and micro process engineering including an excursion to industrial production facilities. All courses will be taught in German.

master course

Within the new master degree program "Advanced Functional Materials" the chair of Chemical Technology is offering a module "Sustainable Production Processes" consisting of lec-tures and tutorials. The teaching content of this module includes apart from an introduction into process engineering and industrial chemistry also principles of green and sustainable industrial chemistry (SIC), a survey of tools and methods for process intensification and presentations and discussions of industrial examples for SIC. The cources are taught in English. The module is offered also in the master degree program "Merge Technologies for Resource Efficiency" as facultative course.
