In the entire building of the University Library, the university-wide network 'eduroam' is available.

Working with children
Two equipped parent-children areas are located in the east wing of the ground floor.
There is also a diaper-change room in the basement.
Photocopying, Scanning and Printing in the University Library
On the ground floor as well as on the 1st and 3rd level of the University Library, multifunctional devices of the type MFG_TA_4006ci are provided at your disposal for photocopying, printing and scanning. For their usage, a valid library identity card is required.
Device designations and locations:

Adherents of Chemnitz University of Technology may look up their orders for printing in their PaperCut-account.
Printing at the multifunctional devices is done by using the function "Findme". For this reason, please select this function as executive printer in the menu. The printout may then be done subsequent to registration at any device in the University Library.
Adherents register with their student identity card resp. staff identity card. Non-adherents are asked to register at the device by their user number and password.
Operating instructions:
On the ground floor and the 1st level at the west wing of the University Library are provided respectively one book scanner. The usage is only possible with USB-stick and free of charge.
On the 1st level at the west wing of the Library, a microfilm scanner is at your disposal. It is adapted for roll film of format 35 mm and microfiches (positive and negative). The scanner is connected to a windows-computer.
Students and staff members of Chemnitz University of Technology may print directly or save the files in their own home directory.
Library users not adhering to the University may not make use of this option. However, they may save the scanned pages directly on an own stick and print them on another computer at the Library or at home.
Please address to the information desk in the case you would like to use the microfilm scanner.
Accounting of printing charges
All printing orders are charge-based and accounted by default via PaperCut. For library users not adhering to the University, the charges accounted via PaperCut are transferred by a timely automatic clearing (normally every minute) to their user account at the Library. A web-based access to the PaperCut-accounts is only possible via the campus network. You find the corresponding link i.a. in your user account at the online catalog.

Amount of charges
The amount of charges determined by the Extract of the Announcement of the Current Version of University Charges and Fees of Chemnitz University of Technology, dated February 27, 2019 (PDF) (German) - Raising of Charges for the Usage of Printing, Scanning and Photocopying Technology at Chemnitz University of Technology apply.
Payment of printing charges
- Adherents of the University please observe the information of the University Computer Center.
- Non-adherents of the University please address to the staff members at the lending desk of the University Library.
Meals and Beverages
You may have something to eat or drink at our Common Area situated in the east wing of the ground floor.
At the ground floor, you may also find our beverage and snack vending machines. The nearest dining hall is located in the central building of the university building Straße der Nationen 62.
Cloakroom and lockers
The library is a place to learn. Please participate in maintaining this particular atmosphere. In this context, we would be very grateful if you could deposit your jackets, bags as well as other items not required in the lockers at the basement.
University members can be provided with a book locker for storing work materials and borrowed media for a maximum of 3 months. Keys are handed out at the lending desk.
