TU Chemnitz in the middle of Chemnitz city festival

From the Future Truck to a discussion with international students: Many offers of TU Chemnitz will be displayed at Chemnitz City festival

From 30th August to 1st September 2013 the city of Chemnitz celebrates its 19th city festival. The city centre will be turned into a big party zone but also into an open-air-restaurant and a concert arena with numerous stages. More than 250,000 visitors are expected. Technische Universität Chemnitz will also be present - as an exhibitor and as protagonist on several stages.

On Saturday, 31st August from 11.00 am to 11.45 am, the visitors can see a fashion show of the Uni-Shop-collection and a discussion with international students on the stage at the market. The international students will talk about interesting stories in a student’s life and about how students from different cultures experience the city of Chemnitz. Afterwards, the dancers of "Sultans Delight” will entertain the visitors with oriental dances. A short interview about the Alumni-network completes the Saturday’s program. On Sunday, 1st September a similar program will be offered from 10.40 am to 11.30 am on the stage at the Stadthallenpark.

Besides the program on stage, the Future Truck opens its doors for everyone who would like to explore his/her creativity and wants to be inspired by natural sciences and technology. Visitors can participate in experiments and look at exhibits about Automotive Manufacturing, Micromechanics, Robotics, Physics, Chemistry, Maths as well as Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. A team of the "Future Campus” will give a hand with the experiments and will be more than happy to answer questions. Persons, who are still looking for a summer, leisure or sport outfit, should visit the booth of the Uni-Shop, right in front of the Future Truck.
