The renowned business magazine Capital named Dr. Martin Böhringer, graduate of Chemnitz University of Technology and CEO of Staffbase, as one of the leading personalities under 40 in the business category

In its current issue, the renowned business magazine Capital named Dr. Martin Böhringer, a graduate of Chemnitz University of Technology and co-founder of the software company Staffbase, which is valued at one billion euros and has its headquarters in Chemnitz, as one of the forty leading German personalities under 40 in the business category. He was nominated by Prof. Dr. Gerd Strohmeier, President of Chemnitz University of Technology and alumni of the "Top 40 under 40", in the business category.

The trade journal provides justification: "This year, Martin Böhringer led his company Staffbase to a billion-euro valuation, making it the first East German unicorn. The startup provides employee communication tools. These are in high demand in these days of hybrid working." On November 18, 2022, Böhringer was presented with the honorary certificate at a gala in Berlin.

"I gladly accept the honor on behalf of the entire Staffbase team. Since our founding in 2014, we have built a great company from Chemnitz with 800 employees and offices in New York, Amsterdam, London, Vancouver, Munich, Leipzig, Berlin, Dresden and Cologne, among others," says Dr. Martin Böhringer. "Many CEOs are operating under extreme transformation pressure. Because of this, communication has become a top priority in all businesses, as employees need to understand the changes and actively shape the future. Staffbase already provides the right solution for this challenge to 2,000 companies and will continue to grow strongly." According to Capital magazine, Staffbase expects to double its sales to more than 50 million euros for 2022.

"I was firmly convinced that Martin Böhringer would be included in the Capital ranking and I congratulate him most sincerely on this further well-deserved award," says Prof. Dr. Gerd Strohmeier, President of Chemnitz University of Technology.

In addition to his role as owner and managing director of Staffbase, Martin Böhringer, who studied Business Informatics at Chemnitz University of Technology, is also a member of the supervisory board of TUCed at Chemnitz University of Technology.
