Research Focus: Mobile Work in the Time of Corona

Professorship of Ergonomics and Innovation Management at Chemnitz University of Technology conducts an online survey on mobile work during the Corona Pandemic

Due to the corona pandemic, the employees of Chemnitz University of Technology are in a special situation, which is associated with far-reaching changes and challenges in their hitherto familiar everyday work. For almost a month now, Chemnitz University of Technology has been in "complete stand-by mode,” which means that the majority of the employees are working from home.

The Professorship of Ergonomics and Innovation Management at Chemnitz University of Technology is providing scientific support for this situation. "Through employees of our university, we want to analyse the working conditions during mobile work. With the help of a survey, we want to learn more about the daily conditions, tasks, and wishes for optimizing mobile work,” says Prof. Dr. Angelika Bullinger-Hoffmann, Professorship of Ergonomics and Innovation Management. In addition, one of the research activities aims to derive technical and organisational improvements from the survey, from which mobile work at Chemnitz University of Technology can be further improved in the future.

University employees who would like to take part in the approximately 30-minute online survey (German) can find the questionnaire here. All data will be evaluated anonymously.
